Here's How It All Started...

Meathog fishing (TM)  was forged in 2013. The lures on the market did not fit our demands -  the 7/0 hooks that bent, unimaginative, boring heads and dull color patterns. Bob (aka Bobalama) and myself, Captain Kelly aboard the Rock Solid out of Oregon Inlet, NC, partnered together to blend a passion for fishing and the core tackle necessary for a successful day.  We making bucktails to sightcast for big cobia and drum.   Then we started to create lures, gaffs, and rods for our demands and needs for and from the charter fishing business.  Meat Hog has translated that to you so you can catch more fish and be more confident.   We make lures that look good, cast great, and catch even better!

Meat Hog Fishing is  a small, local online company with American made hand tied gear & not trying to push foreign tackle into your boat.  We are not looking back - we push forward with our own "original" ideas and concepts making tackle that catches fish not the fisherman!
